Light Resource | First West Credit Union

Explore First West Credit Union's headquarter in Langley and office in Penticton. The building in Langley totals 130,000 square feet with First West occupying more than 60,000 square feet of office space. The design goal was to create an environment that fosters collaboration and enables them to create innovative solutions and products for members.

Visually captivating and modern lighting solutions were incorporated throughout the space. Axolight U-Lights are large-scale pendants. They were selected to create a stunning architectural statement at the reception area. Being both functional and decorative, they maintain the open airy feel of the space while bringing useable light to the surface without creating glare or visual discomfort. The OCL Glowstick Pendant Cluster was selected to highlight the incredibly high ceilings in the space. Its contemporary design with end lit diffusers also adds an elegant and modern touch above the stairs. The length of the pendants also accentuates the height of the space and draws attention to the open staircase. Acoustic luminaires such as Tegan's BuzziShade and OCL's Kwyet were selected for the sound absorbing features. They were placed in individual meeting rooms and open lounge areas to absorb sound and reduce ambient noise while at the same time creating useable light and visual interest. Lightolier LyteProfile Downlights features adaptable lighting that is flexible for better design and quality of light, which helped to provide general lighting for the office space with comfortable optics to reduce glare. Wireless controls bring flexibility and ease of commissioning to the space, giving the client room to grow and an installation that fits the budget.

Ledalite ModiFly and VersaForm 2x2 luminaires are used throughout the First West Credit Union office in Penticton. Beta Calco's Puzzle luminaires add an artistic touch to the meeting rooms.
