Lonsdale Quay Bus Loop

As the second busiest transit hub on the North Shore with 12 bus routes, over 5,000 riders and 20,000 SeaBus trips on an average weekday, the Lonsdale Quay Exchange renovation project transformed the cold and dreary covered 8-bay bus exchange into a beautifully lit destination.


Color Kinetics luminaries highlight the featured pyramidal ceiling and columns. With the use of DMX controls and RGB technology, the user can easily preprogram light shows to celebrate various events happening in the city, allowing commuters to experience a sense of occasion. Bega and Selux luminaries are installed along the driveway and walkway, providing adequate light levels to improve visibility and passenger security.


This project is recognized for the 2021 IESNA Illumination Award of Merit.
