Providing proper lighting for patients and staff is essential to the mission of the healthcare facility. It impacts almost every aspect of patient care. From the diagnosis to the treatment to recovery, proper lighting design helps in the healing process. The importance of lighting is demonstrated by the attention given to lighting specifications and recommended practices from multiple stakeholders. Bringing it all together is a difficult task. This course will identify issues and concerns and provide clear direction regarding fixture feature selection and use. This is a course with no prerequisite knowledge.
