A Declare label is a product transparency disclosure that identifies where a product comes from, what it’s made of, and where it goes at the end of its life. Declare labels can contribute to the Living Building Challenge and LEED v4.
Cradle to Cradle Certified® is the leading multi-attribute standard used globally across industries by designers, brands and manufacturers for designing and making products that enable a healthy, equitable and sustainable future.
Lightolier uses a 100% recyclable polycarbonate material in their 3D printed lumainaires, allowing them to be shredded and reused to print more luminaires. The 3D printed parts are light, using less fuel in transportation and resulting in fewer CO2 emissions. Lightolier is also carbon neutral in their operations and use 100% renewable electricity in all manufacturing sites. Up to 46% of all ocean plastic consists of fishing nets, but this is excellent basis for printing luminaires. As part of Lightolier's 3D printing production process, they recycle in-house, re-using waste such as rejected parts that didn’t pass their quality control.
